In a recent review, I mentioned Rhapsody To Go as a motivator for buying my current MP3 player (there was a nice little rebate for subscribing to the service for a year with the purchase of the player)
I love this service. I was one of the old-napster fans before they got nailed and shut down, and I really missed having lots of good music, both streaming and downloads, at my fingertips.
Most, if not all of these reviews mention the regular streaming service, but this is somewhat different. You can listen to the music streaming, and believe me, the streaming quality is AWESOME, but with Rhapsody to Go, you can also listen to subscription music on your portable device without purchasing it. Currently, you can use an iRiver H10, or any of an impressive list of players (you can see these by going to the Rhapsody site, or by clicking on the link in the Transfer tab on your Rhapsody player interface.
They have an impressive number of subscription songs and albums available. The cost is more than the regular basic service (I paid $178 for a year) but I can store up to 1200 songs, listen to as many as I want, download OR stream, and burn purchased music to CDs. The purchase price is .89 per download, still cheaper than iTunes.
The player interface is very nice and easy to navigate. The organization of the site is tremendous and they make it really easy to find music or happen upon music you didn't know you were looking for with their comprehensive database features. The playlists are wonderful as well, you can add shared playlists to your library or to your device with the touch of a button.
I've not been a Rhapsody user very long, but so far, I'm really happy with it. Other reviews have mentioned that customer service sucked, and that you can't cancel through the website. This is true, and in fact, true of all Real services, which is one reason I am not comfortable purchasing their services. I did not have the bad experiences some of the reviewers had with Real's outsourced customer service (I think I was talking to someone in India, I swear!) and they did cancel my RealArcade and Superpass subscriptions eventually, but I quake to think of what I might have to go through if I ever have to cancel this. If anyone at Real is listening to this, PLEASE allow customers to not only add services but cancel them online. Please.
But all things considered, it's a very nice service, and doubly so with the subscription music to portable devices feature.
