If you love a good sounding speaker? Than CDT is the company for you. Their EF-51CV component set is flat out amazing! How many companies feel so strongly about their products that they will replace them if they should EVER malfunction. In the world of car electronics, they are few and far between. I bought these components over the internet with a lifetime warranty and I was able to catch a 30% off sale on them. They came nicely packaged complete with the mid range speaker, Silk 3/4" tweeter(Titanium tweeter is an optional upgrade)and the instructions needed to properly install them.

I installed these components in the factory locations for my car which is in the door panels. Now these components are rated for 90 watts rms per side when using the Satnet 460 crossover. These will take in excess of 100 watts plus, but if you plan on doing this I would recommend paying for the upgraded Satnet 560 crossover. As the 560 crossover handles more power than that which is supplied with the components(satnet460). And I powered them with an Alpine MRP-F240, which is a 4 channel amplifier which I then bridged into 2 channels to be able to give the amplifiers full potential to these speakers which is 100 watts rms per side.

My first impression of these speakers was that I was amazed by the huge increase in sound quality that I gained going from my aftermarket(alpine type S) coaxial speakers to a amplified set of components. The difference is AMAZING! So much so that I cant foresee myself ever going without components again. The one thing that I did notice with these components is that they tend to lack a bit of mid bass, But there aren't many 5.25 components systems that can acurately reproduce the mid bass frequencies. I have a very bass heavy stereo system, running a Elemental Designs 16Ov.2 in my trunk and these components don't have any problems keeping up with the rest of my stereo system.

All in all I am very pleased with these components.


After seeing the quality taken in the design and production of these speakers I would highly recommend any of CDT products.
