This is an exclusive hotel for timeshare owners, and is currently in construction building the second tower of the location. We arrived July 3 and stayed until the 5th. Our group had 9 people, and we shared a villa suite with two adjacent studio rooms. Only one of the studio rooms connected with the main suite, but it was not a problem at all.
The hotel itself is quite a world away from the tradition Vegas hotels, in that there is NO casino, and it is MUCH smaller, but makes up for it with their ammenities. The lobby is welcoming and is two stories. The top level, in which you enter from the valet parking, includes the check-in desk, elevators to the rooms, and information desks. The lower level includes a gym, a game room (including pool, table hockey, and a large flat screen tv), a recreation room (where you read your morning paper, or watch tv), and a snack bar. The snack bar is a great plus, since they sell chips(at regular price!), microwave dinners, salad, sandwhiches, cookies, and other items. The last night we were there, we didn't have the time and the stomach to eat at another buffet, so we just bought from here and ate while we enjoyed watching the fireworks from the view in our room.
Exiting from the snack bar is their two pools, which are only 3 feet 6 deep. There are fountains on each pool, and their is a jacuzzi. The pool and jacuzzi are open from 8 am to 10 pm. Aound the pool area, there is a covered bar/barbecue area, where you can eat breakfast (not for free).
Alright, now with the rooms! The villa suite room is probably the best room I have ever stayed in Vegas. When first entering, the apartment sized kitchen was immediately located to the left. The kitchen is equiped with fully sized appliances INCLUDING a refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher with soap blocks, a washing machine and dryer with a mini pack of detergent, an oven, electric stove, and microwave with the exhaust fan underneath. This was GREAT! There are also a full stock of cooking utensils, pots and pans, plastic food storage, as well and forks and spoons, etc. You can literally prepare for a party in this room. steping out of the kitchen leads to their beautiful bathroom, with a large shower and sink, and toilet, ofcourse. The bathroom is then connected to the master bedroom. After stepping right out of the bathroom and into the bedroom is the jet tub and the closet. The jacuzzi is in the same room as the master bedroom, no doors. Our jacuzzi was a little low on pressure, but still was a nice thing to have. The bedroom has a large tv in the armoir, a dvd player, small table and chairs, big window, and a bose alarmclock with cd player. The room had a warm feel to it, not even close to feeling cheap!
Infront of the kithen is the dinning table that seats four, and the living room. I enjoyed the living room since it was apartment sized, the sofas convert into beds, the window was wonderfully large, and the television was large as well. It includes a bose dvd player, and has about 70+ channels, which is great, since they usually only have news and pay-per-view. We had the view of the pool, Circus Circus, the Wynn hotel, and Star Dust. Again, one of the studio rooms was connected to the main suite, and this only added to the apartment feel to it, it was great! We had SO much space, it was incredible.
The studio type rooms have more of a regular Hotel feel, with the usual table and two chairs, king sized bed, and bathroom, with shower/bathtub, sink, and toilet. There was a difference, however, in that there was a mini refrigerator with microwave on top. There is also counterspace with a sink . There is a coffeemaker.
Parking was unusual, since this Hotel is fairly new, and we had to park in what would normally be the employee parking. This was still sufficient enough to provide for all of the guests, but there were times when it was full and cramped. The parking is located in the back of the hotel, and you enter on the left going down Vegas Blvd toward Luxor and Four Seasons. If you plan to walk from your hotel to the heart of the strip, it is quite a walk, especially in the heat. We took our car most of the time. The traffic on Vegas Blvd was attrocious! It took us literally thirty minutes to get from our hotel to Bellagio. It was most likely to due 4th of July weekend, though.
It is more located near downtown, where a lot of the action takes place. A tip is NEVER gamble on the strip, you'll lose. Some of my family hit it big at the Plaza. By the way, the Plaza, although legendary, is probably the smokiest Hotel I have been in.
As for food, I recommend the Main Street Station for breakfast, located in the Main Street Hotel. We payed $8 for lucnh on Monday. Another good breakfast is "The Buffet" at Bellagio, but be prepared to pay big Bucks. For dinner, we chose to eat off the strip at this place that our friend recommended, called "Asia Buffet". This buffet was MUCH better than the seafood buffet at the Rio, and had a better selection. We payed $13 per person for dinner. It was great!
For entertainment, I HIGHLEY recommend you buying your tickets at TIX 4 Tonight, which is a ticket stand located across from Stardust and Circus Circus. They sell their tickets to many of the shows for HALF PRICE. They open at 12, but don't start selling until 12:30. Be there EARLY. We were the first in line, and we bought tickets to the "Lani Misalucha Show" with "The Society of Seven", a Filipino Group, who collaborated with Lani. This is the best show I have seen, and it is Hilarious! They mix comedy with singing impersenations. After watching this show, I have undoubtedly concluded that Lani Misalucha is the best singer I have ever heard! She opens her act with singing "I will always love you" by Whitney, and her voice has incredible range. I recommend this to everyone. The show also includes a great "mini" Lion King act, which is also amazing.
I would definitely stay here again!
