The Bottom Line do I know what I'm talking about?

Alright, this review is going to be relatively brief because there is only one main point I am going to make without beating around the bush. I love epinions and there are very few things that upset me about it. I know that the rate cuts were a bummer, and it would be cool to still get 3 cents for some reviews, but I can live without that. It's still awesome that we even get paid at all, so I have no complaints there.

What does bother me is the way that the site doesn't update on a regular basis anymore. Back in the day, epinions used to update constantly and you could watch your money and member hits go up one by one as the day went on... if you were into that sorta thing... which I certainly was not... well only sometimes. After a while, they got rid of that and just went with updating once a day. Ehh, whatever, no big deal, I can live with that.

Now, as I'm sure you all know, epinions updates only once every few days and there are CONSTANTLY problems on the little infamous "Status" window on the side of the account page. This is really annoying to me. Each day when I check my account, I never know what to expect. Will I see my new, updated stats? Or will I be seeing the same information I have been seeing for the past three days?

I don't claim to know very much about computers or running web sites or anything, but I have a suggestion, feel free to shot it down mercilessly in the comments section if it is wrong, I will take the abuse willingly. My idea is to set up a system that will delete all users who don't write at least 1 review after, oh say a month, or 6 weeks or something. If you take a gander through the member search, you'll find that almost over HALF of registered members on epinions have yet to enter a single piece of data about themselves, let alone write a review. Maybe deleting these comatose users would help speed up the process a bit and save some space on the motherboard or open up hard drive space or give the website more free memory? Does any of that make sense? I have no clue. The point is, I see no reason to keep those inactive users around, so do us a favor and get rid of em please!
