MP3 versus WMA
by lorinsilver | Jul 26 '01
The 64kbps sounded a little less full than the MP3, but the format is ideal to fill MP3-players and small hard drives with. The 128kbps-WMA sounded exactly the same.

Great idea... (Reply to this comment)

I've long been wanting to sit down and compare different bit levels of mp3's with cd's, wma's and ogg vorbis files. I figure that there is going to be some difference in the sounds... I would, however, like it to be completely random so that I don't get my personal biases into the mix as well... but I haven't quite yet figured out a perfect way to implement a double blind test on myself while still keeping the data in line... oh well...
