Search Cactus is a great way to explore the Internet and make a small amount of money along the way. You won’t get rich, but you will make a few cents here and there. For college students needing to do some research in specific areas for essays and papers, this site has a lot to offer. I use it to find unique links to topics I am researching. They have a very unique and effective search engine that has produced links that the average sites haven’t.
Once you are a member, you sign on and select a category from Home Page. Then you will pick a topic. There are multiple categories. If you are going there for the money – again you will not get rich—the computer section and financial section pays the best. After you have picked a topic, you can click on a maximum of 20 links (with little eye symbols) at $.02 per 24 hours.
There are several other ways that I have made money at this site. Search Cactus pays an initial bonus for signing up. After that, the best paying options are offers and promotions. As a last resort you can refer friends.
There are two ways to receive payment from this site. You can cash out once you have $20 in your account. The other way is to use your earnings to buy from merchants advertising at their site. This is unique for a pay to search program.
Overall, I recommend this especially for college students. If we have to do the research, the uniqueness of the links and the fact that we get paid to use it is definitely a bonus.
When I originally wrote the review on Search Cactus, I received very negative response due to the site limiting me to a 100 word review. Epinions had been offline for some time and they had just brought the site back up. I do apologize for the inadequacy of the previous opinion.
