College is easier than high school was for me (Reply to this comment)

I'm actually doing better in college than I was in high school. Must be because I am interested. I'm a philosophy major, and I hear people say "Oh! What are you gonna do with that? You should be a lawyer, doctor,etc.."
I say "Well, I would rather take a lower paying job and be able to have the knowledge to fight off salesman, coercive bosses than make a large salary" There are some things that money cant do, although I invest my money. There's my two cents:)

I like that!! I think that's going to become my mantra as I face sophomore year. Certainly I'll try to remember that when it's 3 am and I'm still working on my term paper guzzling coffee like there's no tomorrow! Great great essay...one of the best I've read. Thank you.

Stop feeling like a failure. The world needs good Pirate Kings as much as Ph.D.'s in Nuclear Bionics. Else where would our love for adventure take us? We would be a race of drones. You're FIRST CLASS, my man. Accept that as your fate and your worthiness. And all the rest of you "dropouts" are the same too.
