I was hesitating between Election or Reservoir Dogs for my 10th spot. As for Forest Gump, I really enjoyed that movie but not nearly as much as election.

thanks for your comment...

..and by the way, thanks everyone who left me comments...i really appreciated your feedback

A mixed bag... (Reply to this comment)

I enjoy many, many of your choices--and some must rank as quirky ;-)

It's hard for me to imagine someone who loves Election would also include Forrest Gump though!

I remember that one: I watched it a long time ago, but I remember it very fondly. You must be quite multi-faceted to include that little movie and Clockwork Orange on the same list. Congratulations! :)

Awesome list Fabien. Anyone who manages to include A Clockwork Orange, Fight Club, and Braveheart as their favorites is game in my book.

Spectacular work, amigo.

Reservoirs Dogs, Apocalypse Now, and Clockwork (Reply to this comment)

would probably make my list as well. Most of the others I'll have to check out. Braveheart on a top ten? I don't know why so many people love that moview so much. It's ok. I thought The Patriot was better.

..and I'm happy to see 'Red Balloon' amongst your choices. This film has been a long time favorite of mine...but very few remember it.
Keep up the great writing...kath

Excellent Selections-- (Reply to this comment)

Particularly "American History X" and "A Clockwork Orange."

To borrow the words of Li'l Alex: Both films are "...very good professional pieces of cine. ...the non-gratuitous violence was real horrorshow, ...you could slooshie the screams and moans; very realistic. You could even get the heavy breathing and panting of the tolchcoking malchicks at the same time... And then what do you know, soon our dear old friend the red, red vino on tap; the same in all places, like it was put out by the same big firm, began to flow. It was beautiful... It's funny how the colors of the real world only seem really real when you viddy them on the screen."

(--Li'l Alex/A Clockwork Orange)

An Excellent Read, FR--

Nice job. You really explained why you liked your choices without going into excess details. Very well chosen and written.
