The Bottom Line Rate others opinions. Read each opinion and rate on how much time they put in their opinion. In doing this you will build a stronger WOT.
Both new and expert epinions writers are always looking for ways to get more trusts into their WOT lists (Web of Trusts). Many may have found easy ways to rake in the trust. I have decided to write this epinion to voice my tips on getting trusts. These are tips that I have experienced myself. I have been an epinions writer for less than a month now and have been looking for many ways to get more trust into my WOT. This opinion mostly goes out to those new to epinions.com, those that are not too successful in adding trusts to their account. What is the Web of Trust: The Web of Trust is like a network of some sort. Everyone has their trusted epinions writer and they have theirs. You have people you trust those people have people they trust. Using the Web of Trust is the best way to get your name out. You rate some ones opinion, some one else sees that rating and views your opinions they trust you then when ever some one views that persons account they see your epinions id in their trust then that person views your account. It's like an inter-linking chain that grows every time some one trusts you or every time you trust some one. Advertise yourself: Keep this one question in mind, what is one way to make your business or website popular? Advertise. Now think to yourself, " how can I advertise an epinion." "What do I advertise?” One way to make yourself popular is to put your name out all over. By doing so many epinion writers will develop that curious feeling of “who is that guy,” “I see that name on almost every rate list.” Then the next thing you know more and more people get more curious and decide to just see what you are made of. They will then check out your opinions and it goes from there. Rating: Their are a number of ways to make yourself popular. One way is to Rate. Rating is very important to all epinions writers. Every time you rate you put your epinion id name in the rate window, in doing this you will make your name available to all other epinion writers to view. If someone writes an opinion and sees that you have rated it the chances of them clicking on your name are good especially if they had just wrote the opinion and you are among the first five or so people to rate it. A good way of making people like you is to rate their epinion the minute they publish it. view the epinions home page, near the middle right you will notice a section labeled " New Opinions." If you have any spare time use it in the new opinions section. Read and Rate all new epinions that you see. Most people will thank you for rating their epinions right when they get them published. In doing so they might decide to visit your epinions and do the same, rate them. Read: While you are viewing some ones opinion always read it. Most people that I know view some one’s opinion and rate it on the size of it. If its one paragraph they give you a not helpful, if its ten paragraphs they give you a very helpful. I don’t think that is fair. Every epinions writer has put time into their opinion. They have tried to word every sentence right to allow it to make sense to you the reader. Their thoughts have gone into it as well as their time. So if you decide to rate an epinion, rate it on how well it makes sense and how much time you think they put into it not just on the size it. Comments: After reading the above section on reading the opinions, keep one good thing in mind. If you read the opinion you can voice how you feel about that opinion by writing a comment. Most writers respect the comments that they receive rather if it is bad or acceptable. Most may respect you for your views on that opinion and may decided to give you a thank you note in your e-mail or better yet they may visit your opinions and write comments about your writing and again it goes from their. Good writing: If you write an opinion that was roughly created and was not given time to write you most likely will not receive a good rating. If you plan on getting people to know you and have them add you to their WOT then you need to take time in writing your opinions. If I view any ones opinions and find that the subjects of them are interesting to me but they all receive not helpful or somewhat helpful I can tell you that I am not going to add them to my Trusts. Those types of people are most likely in it for the little money not to help other people out on writing something interesting. So agian take time in what you write. Trust Others: I find this a good tip to follow. I usually roam through epinions.com going through others opinions reading them and making comments. If I find a writer who I feel takes time in creating their opinion I usually add them to my trusts by trusting them. After you trust some one they usually follow along and read your opinions and well trust you also. This all leads to one meaning. Read and Rate. Make yourself popular by doing this. Make comments of others opinions. It will all lead to everyone trusting one another. In the future I will probably make an update to this opinion. There are many ways to rake in the trust. Most you will have to find yourself. Experiment and you will succeed.  |
