Dilemma:
One day I was at the foot doctors and I couldn't make an appointment because I didn't when I was going to be available. This is a problem. The reason that I bought this phone was because I accepted a new position with my company where I will be having 2-3 meetings a day. So, I can no longer make appointments willy-nilly.
Why this phone is good for me:
It combines 2 devices, a phone and a PDA. This equals one less thing to carry around. Which is good.
The phone is what is, a phone. I can make and receive calls just like a guy who spent $1000 on some Motorola dealie. Its a phone, who cares what you spent.
The PDA is the part that makes the most of my day. I am able to sync up my Outlook calendar, which is the reason I bought the phone. So far I haven't missed a meeting and have been able to make appointments without sweating.
The PDA runs off of Palm 4.1. I don't know what this means, but I really don't care. The calendar works.
Also, the phone comes with a larger battery that allows for more talk time. This is a good thing. So, far, I make about 10 calls a day and I can go almost the whole weekend without charging.
Things I don't know about:
This phone does a whole lot more than sync with my Outlook calendar. Address book, mail, web browser, expense form, memo pad and voice memo capabilities to name a few. Right now I do not know how to use most of these items, but I am sure that they are handy for the right person.

You will need:
You will most likely take the dock to work. You will most likely also charge the phone at home. So, you will need to buy another power cable from the phone store. There are no generic options available. About $40.
What I wish it came with:
Better games. I do not know too much about downloading games, but I am sure that there are a lot available on the Internet.
2 power cables. Also after spending $300 for this phone, a second power cable should be included.
What it doesn't have:
Speakerphone. The speaker is pretty loud, so this is not a real speakerphone.
External caller ID. The newer model has external caller ID. The cost difference is about $300. For that price I can live with this.
Overall:
This phone suits my needs now and probably for a long time. Odds are that the phone will die somehow before it will outlive its usefulness. The fact that this is 2 devices in one, really made my decision to buy easy. I am glad I did.
