BUYER/ SELLER BEWARE....Since April 2005, I have had a truck listed on Auto Trader.com. I have had 6 contacts generated and 3 have been confirmed scams. Unfortunately, I lost a substantial amount of money in the first and no one seems interested in doing anything to prevent these from happening, nor investigating them. I have reported everyone to not only, Auto Trader, but also the email service they use. The only response I receive is a generated email that thanks me for my report. The emails are below. READ AND PROTECT yourself if you use this auto selling service...

Thanks for your mail.I wish to inform you due to time constraints on fact that we do not have much time , i have finalized with my client on your price of $16,000 USD and is ok by him,also have forwarded your last mail with the pictures posted at the autotrader to him for his proper records purpose.
He said that i should inform you that a US Certified Cashiers Check of $24,420, that covers shipping charges, pick-up,agent's fees and other chargers,would get to you, and this is a refund payment of a cancelled order earlier made by him (my client). Due to the Refund company's policy this check has to be made out in this amount to you ,because the company's policy only allows a refund payment on one cashier check.So you are required to deduct cost of your car which is $16,000 when payment gets to you and refund balance of $8,420 to my customer via western union money transfer or money gram transfer for him to be able to offset shipping charges of the car . After pay has reached you and balance sent back to him,our agent will come for the pick up and drive to a prepaid shipper to be shipped to my
customer,while title papers and other necessary documents would be sent by you via courier to my customer.
