In order to decide between these options we suggest you consider the following criteria: Group Dynamics The most important factor in deciding which trip is best for you is to understand the nature of group dynamics. Traveling with up to eleven other travelers creates certain pressures that require a flexible attitude. We schedule our groups to be as flexible as possible, but participants must be prepared to make certain decisions based upon a consensus. Whereas traveling on a custom itinerary allows the ultimately flexibility to travel based upon your interests and desires. Dates Our small group expeditions are planned during the ideal season to travel in each destination. We typically offer a number of departures of each itinerary throughout the year. Still, often times people must travel on certain dates that might not coincide with our planned departures. If your travel dates do not match our small groups you can always consider a custom itinerary. In fact, we will run any of our small group expeditions for a minimum of two travelers on any date as a private tour. Group Size A custom itinerary is available for any sized group but is most cost effective for two or more travelers. Single travelers will find the best value in joining a scheduled small group. Because we limit the number of participants to only twelve travelers, you are still guaranteed to have an intimate experience. Furthermore, because we guarantee our departures with a minimum of two travelers you can plan with confidence. Special Interests Most of our small group expeditions are developed with a certain travel style, budget or activity in mind. Members tend to be of like mind when choosing their expedition. When in doubt, talk to us about any given trip to ensure it is a perfect match. Of course, if you have special interests that are not met by our small groups, a custom itinerary allows for complete flexibility. Guides Our small group expeditions utilize notable Western tour leaders with a minimum of five travelers. These people assist in facilitating unique experiences based upon their expertise in the region. They are also there to assist with group dynamics and to manage the interests of the participants. With four or less travelers or on any custom planned itinerary we use local, English speaking guides.  |
