Great review of the diet. I looked closely at those ingredients you listed - with all of the fibers and "uppers" I can imagine this made you feel UP while you were getting ... umm... cleaned out... :)

I dunno, I guess age is getting to me. And since I don't have the money for a hair weave, new corvette, and a teenie-bopper with a boob job, I got to do what every other shmuck does. Shave my head, wax my ride, and fall in love. LOL...

What Kind of Constitution and Will Power Do You Have? (Reply to this comment)

You have got to be an iron-man. No joke, here. First you stop smoking. Next you go on a strict diet. Then, add strenuous exercise (I know you said you already had been on an exercise routine, but...). My hat's (and I don't wear one) off to you. Congratulations, and best of luck to you.
Keep it up! I'll be pulling for you.

It CAN be done...!!! (Reply to this comment)

I once lost 8 pounds in ONE day. Yep. All you gotta do is go on a 7-hour fishing trip on the ocean, get sea sick and spend 7 hours hanging over the side of the boat. 8 pounds gone, just like that! He he he. Then they were back the next day. oh well. :-)

on quitting smoking! That is the single most beneficial thing you could do for yourself and will add many healthy years to your life.
May I ask how you did it? The Dragon Consort is moving in that direction (no longer buys cancer sticks by the carton, only two packs at a time) but I fear it is a long and painful process. At least he is highly-motivated, wanting many years to spend as Weyrmate.

Except for the yogurt it's a vegan diet and very healthy. I recently reviewed a couple of books encouraging such a diet, but for more reasons than weight loss. John Robbins wrote them.

I have done all the things you mentioned, especially the abuse of my watery mammal! And believe me, I like being a solid 200lbs. It makes the bone-heads at work think twice about messing with me. As far as the W/O goes, I didn't know. I have been checking my email and havent received word from you about this or anything else. Hmmmmmm, Is kitty messin with my head?
