Tips for Breaking in Your New Glove
Aug 04 '01
The Bottom Line These tips should help you break in your glove in no time.
I've heard of many different ways to break in new gloves, and I've tried most of them. But I find that there are a few methods which quickly break in a stiff mitt.
Running over your glove with your car can help soften it. Remember to drive one way over the glove, with the open part facing the same way as your car. Do NOT drive back and forward over the mitt while it is facing the same direction in which you started.
Placing your glove under your mattress is another helpful method. Place a ball in the glove and place the glove under your mattress. If you toss and turn as much I do, your glove should be ready in no time.
Try putting your glove in the dryer as well. Put the heat on low and let that sucker spin!
Hope these tips helped. With time and frequent use, your glove will soon become your best friend -- soft-hearted. :)
