My most recent experience ordering from PriceRitePhoto.com can be summarized with one word: annoyed.
Ordering is the easy part, and they list decent prices (not the lowest). To actually get them to ship your the item, you must go through the gauntlet that is their customer service/salesrep call. They need to "verify" your order but 99% of the conversation was steered towards "upselling" you extended warranty or the camera kit or whatever.
After politely, but repeatedly declining for about 10mins, I finally got off the telephone with them. A day after, I noticed the comment "In moot bin, no upsell eh" on my order status page. Obviously something that shouldn't have been publicly viewable. Now it seems obvious to me where I stood, as a customer, with them.
I called back to ask about that. After some run-around between customer service and sales, I spoke with someone. He tried to avoid the topic of the comment, and just stated that the item was no longer in stock! I asked how I can cancel my order but didn't actually do it right away.
2 days later, my item shipped.
Why can't these e-camera merchants from New York/New Jersey just fulfill their shipments as-is? Why must they play this stupid game OVER AND OVER again?
