I ordered a Palm LifeDrive from Ebuyer last week, and although it was almost $90 below list and arrived promptly as promised, it was dead on arrival. It was only then that I discovered the abhorrent return policy and customer service of Ebuyer. I first had to submit a request for an RMA number (return authorization number), which took almost 5 days to process. When they finally did respond, it was to tell me that they do not offer ANY warranty on a Palm product, and directed me to contact Palm. I contacted Palm, who confirmed that Ebuyer was a licensed reseller, but would likely not be so for long given this policy (which was confirmed by the Palm customer service representative). I was finally able to obtain warranty satisfaction via Palm, but only after no less than 7 hours of telephone calls and semi-arguments with customer support staff (Palm maintained the position that I must look to Ebuyer first for warranty). Palm's warranty only allows a repair or replacement with a refurbished device, which means that after spending money for a new unit that never worked, I am to be left with a used unit as my best available option. Oh how I wish I would have shelled out the extra $90 and just purchased from Palm's online store - where they actually honor warranties!
I will never deal with Ebuyer again!
