It was a dark and stormy night.

I am truly awful at giving "the bottom line"... there is a decent range of variety in this list, and what I say is, they're all durn good movies.

I am looking forward to both e-mail and mix CD very much, thanks! As for the HTML...all is forgiven. =)
I'm very glad you like the list! I knew you owned Fargo and figured you'd gotten Virgin Suicides by now, but i didn't know you had any of the others... or maybe i'm just unobservant!

Response to Point of Contention: no claim was ever put forth, implicitly or explicitly, that Bjork was *number one* earthbound deity; and I fully concede that Janis, Dusty, Tori, P.J., Neko et al put up some stern competition. I was merely expressing the view that she has a secure place in the pop culture Pantheon.

And I would've expected Madonna to shoot for someone more internationally illustrious, such as La Callas... I can't wait for the poker game and the hangover scene in the Dusty biopic. But the East London accents might prove hard to justify... Ah well, I'm sure Guy Ritchie will find a way.

see you soon, luv!

P.S. I am very curious to hear the _Happiness_ story! Did you ever end up watching that with CateDearest?

I believe I owe you an e-mail and a mix CD, and perhaps an apology for the overuse of HTML in a review comment (something I just realized one could do. Lame, I am!)

Regardless, you know how very much I love your list, seeing as how I own most of it. Not that my video collection has any bearing on consistency or anything... Happiness isn't on your list, for instance. (There's a funny story on that subject, as well. Wait for the e-mail.)

Point of Contention: Bjork ranks a mere 4th on the list of earth-bound deities (female), dahhlin', behind Tori, Dusty, and Neko.

I, for one, can't wait to see Madonna starring in that Guy Ritchie directed biopic of Dusty Springfield, can you?

Read my Top 10 pop/rock albums of 2000 list, while you're at it, luv.

Wow, thanks so much!!! I'm quite flattered that you like it! And I am still grinning from ear to ear from your wonderful advisor remark!!!!
It's funny, I think I'm one of about ten people in the continental US who does *not* care for the Usual Suspects... I was really disappointed when I saw it, because everyone had made it out to be the best thing since hot showers... eeeh.

keep up the good work, and thanks for the lovely comment!!!
