| polone's Full Review: Eureka Smart 4870DT Bagged Upright Vacuum |
I consider myself a fairly conservative spender. My first attempt at buying a vacuum cleaner led me to buy a Dirt Devil for about $50.00. It lasted for only a few months and then started having motor problems. I decided maybe my knowledge of vacuum cleaners was not sufficient which led me to look at consumer reviews.
After reading many reviews, I decided to purchase "The Boss." I'm happy to say that the reviews have been (for the most part) right on. While more expensive than the Dirt Devil, the improvement in suction power and quality was DRAMATIC. If you think the price tag (around $149.00 when I wrote this review) is unreasonable - you will be spending that much 3 or 4 times on cheap models. I urge you to avoid the headaches and buy this vacuum instead.
While this vacuum has great suction and cleaning abilities, it does weight a lot more than many other models you might buy. If your an older person or you have back problems ... you might want to consider a canister or some other lighter vacuum. For everyone else - the weight is only really problem going up and down stairs - and who couldn't use the exercise anyway? :-)
