I grew up in the woods, doing things that I never realized were "sporty," like camping, fishing, and hiking. So I was an adult before I realized just how much gear there really was to accumulate, and Campmor has become my weak spot. I've probably placed 6 orders with them this year alone and each time, gotten a good deal, incredibly fast delivery, and superb customer service. Sometimes I do my research elsewhere (like here) and then go to Campmor to buy. I have spent countless hours browsing their web site just for kicks, building a shopping cart of items, and then a day or two later, pouncing on the UPS man.
That little Trail Mail email is the death of me - even when I'm not thinking about camping, they email me some incredible deal on something I just HAVE to have (that I never knew existed). They are fantastic for stocking up on off season items - like, I'll buy thinsulate in April and a swimsuit in October and make out like a bandit. I also do a lot of gift shopping there for the other avid outdoors people in my family (turtle fur hats for all!).
