Good product, bad shipping experience bad customer service

I picked this company because they were one of two that carried a refrigerator that would fit into my kitchen. The ordering was easy but the refrigerator failed to show up the next day as promised - I ended up wasting a day waiting for the driver to show up. The next day after many phone calls, the refrigerator finally showed up 5 minutes before 4pm, which is the cutoff time in my building to do any large moves of furniture/appliances. Why it took 2 days to ship this item from the Bronx to Manhattan -- a distance of about 4 miles, is not completely clear.
Customer service was not very helpful and would not give a discount for a wasted day of waiting on a promised item that never came. I did not get so much as a phone call and had to call in multiple times, which was a good exercise in futility.
False promises and lots of agrevation are words that best describe interaction with customer service. Customer service makes you feel like you should consider yourself lucky to get anything from them at all, if that. Unfortunately, that was exactly the position I was in but naturally, no customer wants to feel like that...
On the positive side, the refrigerator arrived in good condition and works as designed.
