Better advice is to not buy new cars so frequently. Change the oil regularly and take care of your new car and it should last a long time. Whatever excess money you end up leaving on the table for the dealer is then amortised over that much greater a length of time.

this was very useful. I wish I had read it earlier -when I bought my last car. I bought it for $500 over invoice price, I admit it. Yeah, the guys looked happy. I didn't know or see anything about H/B.
