I usually stop by the nearby Walgreens because it’s quick and easy. I’ve found that they have a lot more to offer than just pharmacy items in the store but I was astonished with the selection of things online.
I was shocked to find they also sell things like game boy advance games, baby furniture including baby cribs, as seen on TV items, cameras, computes, appliances, expensive jewelry, office supplies, and so much more.
Shipping is free with a $50 order so I really spent a lot of time on the site finding things considering I was shopping for health and beauty items. I usually throw a bag of diapers into my cart to get my price up but there were lots of items excluded from the “free shipping” offer. Some things that I shopped for that weren’t included in the free shipping deal were things like diapers, shampoo and toothpaste. The majority of items count toward free shipping and are well marked.
Flexible Spending Account
You will only be eligible for the Flexible Spending Account option if you are enrolled though your work. Items are clearly marked if they can be used with the account.
Pharmacy
Shipping a prescription is $1.99 per delivery. So, if you were to order four prescription items the shipping would still be $1.99. You have the option to set up your account for auto shipping of recurring prescriptions. You also have the option to order online and pick it up at the store.
Some other features that are offered is printing the labels in different languages, large print, email reminders for refills, pharmacy order history, online description of drugs, list of items that interact with drugs, and more.
Photo department
I use Walgreens for my local printing needs because they are fast and conveniently located for me. They offer digital service where you can upload your files though their website and either pick them up in the store or have them delivered. They are offering 10 free prints for trying if you’re curious how they turn out. The price is .19 for a 4x6.
My Ordering Experience
Placing my order was very easy. I provided my mailing address and billing address and proceeded with checkout. I received an email immediately indicating the order was accepted and the next day I received an email that the order was shipped from Missouri via UPS and was scheduled to be delivered in 4 days.
My package arrived at 8PM on Friday evening. The items were well packed and things that could leak like sun tan lotion was in an individual baggie.
Overall
I wasn’t very happy with the free shipping aspect. Most online drugstores offer free shipping. This site has a restriction on not only amount you must buy to qualify for it but also excluded some choice items from the deal and some of the items weren't heavy at all so it doesn't have to do with weight.
I was extremely happy with the selection of items. They had a lot of things that I wanted that didn’t fall into the drugstore type of thing.
I liked having the ability to narrow my search down by price, sale, coupons or rebates.
The website is very simple to navigate and it’s very easy to find things that I’m looking for so I know I’ll be back to Walgreens.com.
