Waste of time - I wonder if they actually sell anything?
I found the camera I wanted online at infinitphoto.com at a great price. Tried to do a fast epinions search before I ordered, but couldn't find it. Once I placed the order and rec'd my order confirmation, I noticed that the order confirmation said the store was "Infinity Cameras.com" - well THAT turned up this thread on epinions and so I began reviewing the 800+ complaints about this store. I had paid through the nose for expedited shipping and after waiting 24 hours, called the company to see if my order had shipped. I had rec'd an e-mail "order confirmation" but discovered when I called that in fact my order had not shipped because they said, the order was not "confirmed." I asked what would it take to confirm the order? and the sales rep replied, "Well do you want the long-life battery or the 2-hour battery for the camera?" I said neither that I already had batteries and that this was a back-up camera. He asked about cables, etc. (all the stuff that is supposed to be packaged at the factory but they strip out and try to sell and a stupid price to hold your order hostage) and I said I didn't want any of that. He also tried to sell me an extended warranty. I said "no" to all of it and said, "just tell me when my order will ship." He then said, "It will ship today." I asked for a tracking number and he said they would e-mail me with the tracking number. As expected, I did NOT receive any e-mail confirming shipment of the camera and when I called back 24 hours later found out that the camera had been backordered. Clearly, they have one devious little playbook that they operate from. Believe all the complaints and don't waste your time with these crooks. Needless to say I canceled the order and am taking my business elsewhere. Those Brooklyn, NY camera shops ought to all be shut down by the BBB!!!
