I have a lot of problems with joints and back pain among others so I am always looking for an easier and less painful way to do my house hold chores. I couldnt afford a maid so I did the next best thing I bought a Swiffer Sweep Vac
I came across the sweep vac in the store and decided to try it, all I could lose was the 19.99 I paid for the Swiffer Sweep Vac. I got the vac home and for once I had no trouble putting it together.
Assembling the Swiffer Sweep Vac.
The bright blue box held everything I needed including the Swiffer cloths which came with two packs of two each and the charger. I inserted the lower handle in the base of the Swiffer and then inserted the top handle and pushed it into place. The handle was easy for once, and fit right away.
I took the bottom and lifted the suction nozzle and it locked into position for me to place the cloth on the bottom then when finished I pushed the vacuum down into the floor position. The cloth fits like the other Swiffer Products and has x shaped places in the top of the vac to tuck the cloth into. With this done there is a clean cloth on the bottom of the Vac waiting to get dirty.
The vac comes with a charger that fits into the wall socket and the slim cord at the end fits into the vacuum to charge. A red light comes on when charging. The button on the top of the vac turns the power on and off.
The dirt cup is one of the easiest I have ever found to empty and put back into the vacuum. There is a filter in the dirt cup and it can be taken out and rinsed and I let it dry and then reinsert the dirt cup in the Swiffer Sweep Vac. IMPORTANT: The manual says not to rinse the filter but I do and have had no problems. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK
Experience with the Swiffer Sweep Vac
One of the things I like about this Sweep Vac is I can use it on my tile floors with or without the operation of the Vacuum. Please be aware that this vacuum is not going to pick up big things on the floor. For Sweeping or vacuuming a kitchen or bathroom floor it is perfect. It is lightweight and easily maneuvered into corners and etc.
From the Swiffer web site
Use the dry sheet on your Swiffer Sweep Vac to pick up the debris, such as dust, hair, and crumbs, without turning on the vacuum. Turn on the vacuum to sweep up larger dry debris, such as large food objects, including raisins, cereal, and so forth, or even craft suppliessuch as beads.
The pads come in
Refill 16 ct. Scented/Unscented
Refill 32 ct. Scented/Unscented
Refill 64 ct. Unscented
The Swiffer Sweep Vac is perfect for my use. I used it for a week without having to change the cloths on the base of the unit. I usually use the vacuum and when finished I clean the filter, the dirt cup holds quite a bit. Your floors may be larger then mine and you may have to change the pads more often. When I put the vacuum away I just plug the adapter into the vacuum and hang it on the hanger I have for it. You can hang it or let it go into your utility closet.
Cons
Sometimes when using with out the vacuum turned on it seems a little hard to push on my floors but even this is not as hard as a broom on my back.
Conclusion
This is one hard little worker, perfect for me and I would recommend that you give it a try. You can reorder the filters at www.swiffer.com you can register the Swiffer Sweep Vac at the same web site.
There is a one-year limited warranty on this product there is a money back guarantee. The guarantee says you must have a dated receipt and send the vacuum back with the receipt for this guarantee.
One hint I have for you, when one side of the cloth gets dirty I turn it on the other side. If my floors are pretty free of junk this works well.
Thanks for reading my review
