The Bottom Line I like the stamp sets better than individual sets. I have plenty of each kind!
When you are a rubber stamper you find that you have an overwhelming supply of choices out there when it comes to purchasing rubber stamps. There are many catalogs to choose from with stamp sets; all the way from a set of four stamps to a set of sixteen stamps and once in awhile even more! If you go to a stamp store, or a crafts store, you usually only find individual stamps. Some people prefer the individual stamps, which is why there are so many choices. I prefer stamp sets. I purchase many of my stamp sets from Stampin Up home parties because they do have sets. When I purchase a set of four stamps, many times one of the four stamps is a saying that matches the theme of the images. You can also buy a whole stamp set of just sayings. They come in a variety of choices such as: inspirational, great greeting (Happy Anniversary, Happy Birthday, Thinking of you, Best Wishes, Thank you, and Get Well). Then there are special greetings such as (Sister, Mother, Friend, Son, Dad, Daughter, wife, husband, brother). There are Christmas greetings, Halloween, and other seasonal ones. Plus there are favorite sayings such as: "May every day be a celebration of the heart"; "Sweet are the joys the season sends, but closest to heart are family and friends", plus many, many more! Some of these are so special. The Alphabet sets are also a good buy! They come in many ways such as the lower case and the upper case, with a variety of styles. Then you don't want to forget the "Numbers" set. When you have the 25th anniversary, the 1st birthday, or any other number, you can stamp that number on your card to make it so much more personal. I think that the stamp sets, no matter where you buy them are the best buy; and they all go together for one theme. If you are not sure which is better - try some of both! You won't be disappointed! Many of you have been following my whole selection of epinions on creating greeting cards with rubber stamps. I have made many suggestions on products to use to make your cards very unique. Stamping an image on card stock paper with rubber stamps is just a small part of the whole card; using specialty scissors, chalks, markers, inks, ribbons are just a few of the other items that I have written about. Creating your own greeting cards is so satisfying. Each card is made just for that special person; it can not be duplicated. You will need: Cardstock black ink pad markers/colored pencils/chalk one large stamp or a stamp set Ribbon Greeting cards can be made by any age group; except for the very young. Stamping one big image on the front of a folded cardstock (size: your choice), then coloring the image with markers, colored pencils, or chalk, makes for a very easy greeting card. Adding a ribbon to the side or the top of the card, adds another dimension and looks very cool! When you do make a decision on the right stamp/stamp sets for you, write an epinion so that I can see another "POINT OF VIEW". Thanks for reading this epinion. Enjoy stamping! |
