Lifesvigor.com - Tons of Products, Not So Easy Navigation

My husband and I stumbled upon lifesvigor.com while searching for toothpicks infused with tea tree oil to use as a stop-smoking aid. Life’s Vigor, a natural health and beauty supplies store, had the best price and therefore got our business.
Browsing lifesvigor.com was a bit of a frustrating experience due to slow load times, tons of products, and browse by brand navigation on the home page. The site does offer browsing by category which is a bit more useful when you aren’t searching for particular brand name items, but load times still seemed rather long and it took awhile to drill down to the right category. I found it easiest to use the site’s quick search feature to locate the specific item we were looking for and clicking through categories just to see what else Life’s Vigor had to offer. The design itself is simple, but professional enough looking to be satisfactory.
We ended up choosing a few bars of natural soap to add to our order because lifesvigor.com had such great deals. It seems that overall the store has average or better than average prices on many items I’ve bought elsewhere online. Unfortunately for Life’s Vigor, our purchase may have been a larger one if navigating the site were easier. For instance, when finally arriving on the soap page we were presented with a rather large list of items with no way of sorting by size, price, or availability. More than a few items that caught our attention were out of stock with no information on when they would become available again. After clicking in to view details on an individual product and then backing up you had to scroll through the whole list again to find your place.
Lifesvigor.com’s shopping cart system was quite easy to use and is the one place we had no trouble navigating. The store clearly presents its shipping policies, including returns and backorders. We had the choice between a few different types of UPS and USPS delivery options at reasonable prices. All contact information including physical address and phone number is available in a number of places on the website, which definitely gave us more confidence in an otherwise so-so experience here. I also liked that links to the Better Business Bureau reliability program and Verisign status are available at the top of every page.
Lifesvigor.com accepts all major credit cards as well as money orders and checks via the mail. It would have been nice to see a PayPal or electronic check option, but what they do offer is pretty standard and was sufficient. After our order was placed we promptly received a confirmation email and another two days later when the order was shipped. Our items arrived on time and as ordered, so in the end our experience with this online store was a good one.
I would definitely shop lifesvigor.com again, but I do hope the company puts a bit more effort into making their site easier to navigate by reducing load times and coming up with a better way to group products together so that it doesn’t take so many clicks and so much scrolling to reach the page you want. Other than those quibbles, Lifesvigor.com is a good store with a wide variety of products that I would definitely recommend to those interested in natural health and beauty.
