Don't be Embarrassed to Drink White Zinfandel Wine
by 4-1-1 | Aug 13 '01
Some White Zinfandels are quite tasty. Best of all, they are inexpensive and make for a great party beverage.

As always, I am most favorably impressed by your review. You may find past reviews on my part about the Glenora on Seneca Winery, and another brand with the article title, "Call Off the Hounds" of interest. All best regards. ceo.

...like White Zin on occasion - but be warned - some brands are sweeter than others, and like everything else, you get what you pay for!

Cheers (and thanks!)

wines for the label art. I know nothing about wines
except that some reds cause my nose to throb (rosacea).
I like white zin and have had some decent ones from
a box :-) Thanks for reminding me of this one. Got a
party to attend on Friday!

:) This is a nice, simple wine for just about anything. I'm not even a big wine drinker, so this is just fine for me. :)

Wonderful review!

If this wine goes well with Turkey and Ham, then it's just the drink to go along with those Irish songs I think...Great review, thanks

Barefoot Wines (Reply to this comment)
by prfstars
Hi Tom,

I've been buying Barefoot wines at Trader Joe's for a few years now. I started buying the "Barefoot Cab" and "Barefoot Merlot" because I wanted to experiment and find a good (but very cheap) red wine for adding to my tomato sauce recipe.

Once I tried them I realized that not only are they good enough for my recipes-- they're great for drinking, too.

Excellent review.

Oh Jeff... from a box, you say? Actually, I have never tried a box wine product, but am curious to try one day (maybe at somebody's party, because I don't think I want to buy a whole 4-liter box for myself).

Thanks for reading.

I am not what one would call a 'wine snob' but being from Michigan where White Zinfandel is guzzled from a box, I am a bit self consious about drinking it in public. It may take time, but with help of people like yourself, I'll return to the sweet, subtle taste of WhiteZin (from a corked bottle) someday...

Nice review, as per usual.

O yes... thank you, kindly, for pointing this out. Got distracted by some incoming emails. Am waiting for a priceline.com confirmation on a hotel room. First time I've tried this service and it takes some gettin' used to.

Thank you very much for reading and commenting!
