| riaeg's Full Review: Dell Dimension 8100 Series |
It took less than one week from the time I ordered my system to its arrival. The customer service person was great, and even advised on what NOT to waste our money on during purchase. Our first computer was a Compaq, and when it stopped working for various reasons, I was disappointed to find that I could only upgrade with Compaq brand products. And that some of these products were no longer being manufactured! Our hospital uses Dell, and now I definitely know why. Everything was pre-installed and setup was so easy. I purchased the Altec speakers with subwoofer for about $20 extra, and the sound is unbelievable. It is unbelievable that such great sound comes out of something so small. The keyboard is much quieter than on my old computer. The only thing I find a little disappointing is the manual. It does not always go step by step for troubleshooting. You are able to find this information with the onscreen help section though, so it just takes a little changing of habits!
I will be using Dell for many years.
