Whew--obviously I shouldn't have messed with this guy! Once again, I was trying to be funny--I just really overestimate my ability to be sarcastic, I guess. Don't worry Captain Hair Band, this foolish girl will let you have epinions all to yourself. In fact, I got out a long time ago but neglected to turn off my e-mail alerts, which is why I read this comment in the first place.
I still stand by the idea that you are taking this whole thing way too seriously. I just put that little rib in about cheapening your epinion because I figured you'd get all uptight about me commenting on your *serious* epinion. I guess I was way off base, huh...

Wow. Did you even *read* what I wrote?? I said it WAS funny. Twice, in fact. See? I really *do* have a sense of humor!! :)
However, you didn't cheapen my epinion, just made yourself look foolish by over-reacting and only seeing what you wanted to see. As a new Epinions user, the "Write Off" IS confusing. It is also unexpected, particularly when you're reviewing an ancient cassette single in a forum constructed for live concert reviews (I know; I read your "no place to put it" section). People who come to the site looking for guidance will find the "Write Off" confusing. Like it? Who cares? Not me. Put it to bed and let's move on with our lives, shall we?

Ok, this was cute but inappropriate, regardless of the fact that she "explained" why it was here. Maybe Epinions was more like a Usenet newsgroup 2 year ago, so posting satire in incorrect areas was acceptable; I dunno...but in 2003 this is just confusing.
It *was* funny, but I think it cheapens the effort people put into writing complete, constructive reviews

You're absolutely right; none of the cool music makes its' way to the Midwest until it's not cool anymore. I've just about banished FM radio; I live between two large radio markets, Chicago and Milwaukee, and I can find only one music station worth its' salt. WXRT 93.1 in Chicago is one of the most original stations around, but even they may have been touched by the hand of the corporation, firing their most popular DJ to save a couple of dollars.
Cool review too, I enjoyed it.
