Unless you live in Asia (Reply to this comment)

escrow.com credit card transactions need to be verified by telephone and this is only done by their customer department from Mon-Fri from 8am-4pm California time. This is not what I would expect from a .com company in the current day and age...

I am living in Asia and basically have to be on standby during the night to verify a credit card transaction, not very customer friendly.

Terrible service (Reply to this comment)

I would NOT recommend escrow.com. I had to return an item I purchased using their service, and though the seller received the item 11 days ago, escrow.com still has not refunded my money. I am out the wire transfer fee, the shipping fee, and escrow.com's transaction fee, yet for some unknown reason, they cannot seem to find a way to send me back the rest of my money... And their customer service is terrible! They are based in California, but you might as well be calling India for all the help you are given. DO NOT USE THIS SITE!

Escrow.com : rude customer service, inaccurate and inconvenient credit card processing (Reply to this comment)
by elijahblue
Say NO to Escrow.com!

I am including this comment here because I see nowhere to review escrow.com.

I have had a TERRIBLE experience with them. First of all, AFTER you have initiated a transaction and cannot back out, they tell you that in order to pay by credit card you have to fax a "verification" sheet with an image of the front and back of your credit card. This was extremely annoying and inconvenient.

Second, they somehow managed to mess something up in checking my info with my credit card company. I was told that the card had been declined due to incorrect security code. I was asked to "re-submit" the transaction. I typed EXACTLY the same information in the form, as evidenced by the fact that once I typed in the first number, the other two were there in the history of that form field because it is what I typed in before!

Third, customer service STINKS. The email responses I have received back about the problems with my transaction have been snide and rude.

I would recommend you steer clear of Escrow.com. There are plenty of other web sites that offer similar services. And I would certainly hope they are more convenient and offer more competent technical service and more polite customer service.
