What an incredible monitor. I bought mine at Nextwarehouse.com for under $200 after a $50 manufacturer rebate from Samsung. Received it no problems, not a single dead pixel.
After simple plug and play, this 17" LCD is a beauty. Great images, incredible screen brightness. Sharp contrast ratio of 600:1, unreal 12ms response time. Some minor things that I like that you may not see when reading tech specs, is that the screen has a straight black color when it is turned off, not some grayish tint. The screen adjustment buttons are at the bottom and are small, but I actually like this. With the auto adjustment function, 1 button is all it takes to get the screen perfect. 1 push and you never mess with the screen settings again; real set it and forget it. Its nice to see a monitor without big obtrusive buttons.
My only complaint is there is a tiny green light at corner of monitor to show that the monitor is on. Duh, can't you tell if the monitor is on or not simply by if there is a picture? I guess I don't like the light because the way I have my monitor setup, the light shines into my eye and is distracting. However, I placed some black electrical tape over the light and viola, problem solved.
Overall a fabulous monitor that I love.
