WHAT SIZE ENVIE DO YOU NEED?

The Bottom Line Making your own envelope to match your greeting card is very cool!
I have written a number of epinions on how to stamp and decorate greeting cards. My question to you is: Do you ever make a greeting card that does not fit any envelopes that you have? I have.
Here is the items that you need to make your envie:
paper
template of envelope
pencil
scissors
glue
1) If you do not have a template for envelopes, you can just carefully take apart any envelope that is the right size for your greeting card.
2) Use any paper that you want. Some people even use pieces of wallpaper and some use the pretty pictures from their old calendars. Plain typing paper can be used, pretty gift wrapping paper, or anything else that looks like it will work.
3) Lay the opened envelope unto the choice of paper and draw around it lightly with your pencil.
4) Cut out
5) Fold the same as the pattern.
6) Glue sides together
7) Use address sticker, if the design is too distracting for the Post Office to read.
8) Put your rubber-stamped greeting card into the envie.
9) Glue the flap shut
Your card will be ready to be addressed to the lucky person who this will be sent to. Don't forget to stamp it. It may be a busy looking envelope and the stamp could be missed!
Some people say that it is too much work when there are so many places that you can buy envelopes. I know that the paper supply stores have them to sell, but is it as pretty? I don't think so, rather, I know for sure that it is not as pretty or unique as your own envelope is that probably matches your greeting card right down to the last detail!
Try this very easy craft and you may be making many of your envelopes from now on! Enjoy!
