The Bottom Line: If your looking for an affordable receiver to decode your Sat signals and Off air signals in HD this is it.

Well, I purchased my self a Panasonic 65in HD TV and this receiver. First reason it was 549 compared to other brands that were much more.
HDTV output:
lets start off with the neg. you need to spend 100 dollars just to get component outputs. Its a small box from RCA that converts a VGA output into Component output. RCA should have put component outputs built into it. A large part of HD TVs do not have a VGA input. Once past the extra 100 dollars you'll get awesome picture output when in HD mode. I think the normal picture is just average.
Off-Air reception:
Id recommend the Terk TV25 its a cheap antenna that will pull in all of the channels you need. The receiver is pretty picky about its Off-Air reception. If the antenna is not set right the receiver will pixel out the picture( turns the picture into little boxes and then goes away)
Sound:
The receiver has good output but still needs a Digital Coaxial output. I am running the Optical output from the DTC100 to my Denon receiver and it works great. The sound comes in nice and clear.
The remote:
Unlike most companies this remote can control almost your whole entertainment system. The remote is laid out nicely just takes a few days to learn. It could use some back lighting features for in using in the dark. The only thing it needs is to be able to control a a/v receiver.
