The Bottom Line Part 2.. Couldn't leave these behind.
I felt this section needed a little more from me. I don't think we really earn on these reviews so I'm just going to add a few teary hits to my list... Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd.. Not exactly a love song but a great song to mellow out too. The first song to really turn me on to Pink Floyd. The song is really, well, a song meant for marijuana moments. Angel Eyes - Steelheart.. If you were a fan of Glamour Rock you probably remember this song. The only song I know from this band. I just had to get the CD because of this song. Fly to The Angels - Slaughter.. Another sad metal song. Behind Closed Doors - Charlie Rich.. Now on to an oldie country song. Must have started liking this one because of my parents, who knows. I did this one on a karoke night at the local bar. Waiting For a Star To Fall - Boy Meets Girl.. A girlie song I loved in the late 80's. It should be placed in a movie during one of those corny romance scenes where the couple is running in the waves together. Happy Together - The Turtles.. I really love a lot of the late 60 and early 70 love songs. This song is one of my favorites. I really think I was meant to be a teenager during this period. Candle in The Wind - Elton John.. A would probably still love this song if it hadn't been remade several times. I didn't care for his version dedicated to Princess Diana, the words were definitely written last minute. It Might Be You - Stephen Bishop.. This was the love song from Tootsie and should have been placed on my first list. A really pretty song, I recommend it to tender hearted people. If - Bread... Another early 70's song. I was surprised how many good slow songs were sung by Bread. I downloaded them all from Napster.. Imagine and Woman - John Lennon... I love both of these songs by Lennon so I though I'd cover both in one paragraph. A truly sad thing he died. A real idealist with great writing ability. What A Wonderful World - Armstrong.. From the movie, Good Morning Vietnam. Well that's the end of this list. I'll end up writing another I guess. Hope you might see a couple you like. Let me know. |
