I got this modem from pacbell as part of their free equipment offer. I installed this modem in a matter of minutes. It requires an ethernet card which requires you to open up your computer and install it in one of your open pci slots. This modem has 4 lights: Power, Ready, Link, Activity. These lights make it very clear if your ready to connect or not and if the modem has sync. To install all you have to do is connect a phone cord from your modem to your wall jack, put an AC adapter, and run a cord to your ethernet card. This is very easy. This modem is very reliable and fast.
