A dissappointment for Rainbow6

Written: May 02 '01
Pros:Nice graphics, good AI
Cons:few maps, high difficulty
The Bottom Line: I wouldn't recomment this, too few maps, hard AI, no multiplaying people. Buy Rogue Spear.

Wow, I am a big Rainbow 6 fan. After the first one, I knew I had to get the sequels. So, the mods, expansion packs, Rogue Spear, I got them all. What dissappointed me about Rainbow 6 Covert ops was that it was all about the encyclopedia included. It was nice to know, but I didn't see the big connection to the game, I still died in the first 5 seconds of every game cause the terrorists are on super elite.
There are a few good aspects, such as the AI sniping positions and teamwork. The running around is a little buggy, could be better. The AI team runs around looking like lops and if they hit you, you get really mad because you just got shot by a lop. Anyways, It took me a while to pass the first map, and I realized there was only 3 campaign maps, and maybe only 5 maps in the whole game. A complete waste of money on my part, and the multiplayer had nobody in it (I guess nobody wanted to play covert ops, they were all in rogue spear and rainbow 6 still). It seems that if you did not know the difference, you'd think covert ops was the original and the others made after. WEll, if you want a little research about counter-terrorism or if you like playing against really elite terrorists, I guess you could spend your money, but in all, I would recommend playing counter-strike or somethin. This game fustrated me too much.
