Diabetic Supplies (Reply to this comment)
by edwardmartinez
TypeFreeDiabetes.com is dedicated to helping people to find unique gift ideas for diabetics. Our sugar-free desserts and candy are great for diabetes people so that they don't risk raising their blood sugar.
Use support socks for men or women for complete foot protection.Diabetic foot complications can stem from nerve damage and poor blood circulation. Keeping your feet comfortable and protected when you have diabetes can help prevent further pain and damage.
Diabetes test strips are used to measure blood glucose levels. The strip is placed in a blood glucose meter to read your blood glucose levels by having blood dropped on them or drawn into them. Strips are usually paired with specific diabetic meters.
I know what I thought when I first heard of this company. EWW!!! But I read so many good reviews about this company that I decided to buy some diabetic product from them.
Thank you : http://www.typefreediabetes.com/

Good beginner advice (Reply to this comment)

I'm just starting an exercise program at a health club and it's kind of overwhelming. I appreciate this info on getting an HRM, which I will need to make sure I'm staying in my target zone. :) There are so many different kinds of monitors, and I really can't afford a gizmo with a thousand features I'll never use.

This was incredibly comprehensive and in-depth! I'm not really an "exercise fanatic" per se, but I have the noble goal of wanting to get fit. I knew very, very little about HRMs until I read your review. Thanks so much for helping me! 2 thumbs up!

OK, Amy when are we going to see you running the Los Angeles Marathon? Better yet, how about Hawaii's Ironman Triathalon?
Actually, I picked up kayaking, jogging on the beach and running up bleachers as a cardiovascular exercise. My physician suggested Polar as a good HRM.
I am not quite up to my target yet but I am getting there! LOL

You beat me to the punch.
But after reading your review I'm glad that it was someone such as you who beat me to it. I don't think that there's anything that I could add. Well researched and written review.

Is there a Super-Duper Helpful category? (Reply to this comment)

Amy,
This is fantastic! You addressed so many questions that I never even thought to ask. I don't have a heart rate monitor but I've toyed with getting one. Now I know some of the complex factors to consider.
I especially like your note about most people having experience with only one monitor. Their lack of comparative experience is important to keep in mind when reading their reviews.
Looking forward to your HRM review! :)
