This is such a great idea. Thank you for sharing it with us.
My daughter is too young, at 7 months, to give a gift like this, but I have printed it and plan to do this for each of her grandparents some day. Thank you for the idea!!

during Teacher Appreciation Week, with little notes relating to kids & teachers. Very cute idea for just a little bit of money. I didn't think about how it could be used in other ways. Great idea.

...we earned our Grandparent stripes with two rules:
1. The word "no" is not in use at our home.
2. Lauren calls the shots.
Her younger brother is suffering from what looks like Autism and she has to carry a big load around because of that.
She actually keeps us up until 3 AM playing Mexican Dominoes or whatever new game she can teach us.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

THANK YOU for this!! I've seen this list before, when my oldest was a fourth-grader. Her teacher gave one of these kits to each of the 31 students in the class on the first day of school.
Little did we know, my daughter's time with this wonderful teacher would be short. Two weeks into the school year, Mrs. E was absent...two more weeks went by, and it was finally explained to the students and parents that Mrs. E was battling cancer--she had been in remission, but it returned with a vengence.
While Mrs. E often wrote notes to class, expressing hopes to be back with them soon, she never was able to return. Within a few months, she passed away.
In the two years since, we lost this list you've shared--I'm so happy to have it again, and I know Katie will be, too. I think giving this as a "kit" for grandparents is a wonderful idea.
