I am so sorry you stayed there (Reply to this comment)

I must say that I am happy to say not all of them are like this though. The one that is about 10 minutes from where I live has got to be the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. We stayed there when we first moved to Fort Hood. It is really new though and that could be why. The place was impecable and had a continental breakfast. Lildev (Tricia)

. . . of chains have their reputations sullied by "independently owned" facilities.

Perhaps the parent companies should be more diligent in checking up on those who represent their corporate image.

Nicely done.

Good advice (Reply to this comment)

about checking out the room first. I always do that when I'm staying at a place that looks questionable. Although one time, I first asked if they had any rooms available and they said yes. I then asked if I could see the room first. The woman behind the desk said, Sorry, I don't have any rooms to show you." Either she was stupid or she didn't want to show me the room first in fear that I would leave.
