I am 32 weeks pregnant and recently went on bed rest because of preterm labor. I did not want to give the grocery shopping over to my husband (and he really didn't want that responsibility anyways!) so I decided to give Safeway.com a try. I found that if you choose a 4 hr delivery window, it is only $5.95, and if you order over $150 in groceries, they take $5 off the delivery fee, making it practically free if you spend over $150.
I love being able to add things to my shopping cart as I go along throughout the week, as I come across things we need. I wait for the specials to come out for each week, and go through them to see if there's anything I want to stock up on.
The downsides - sometimes things are not available and you don't know it until your order is delivered. This could be a real issue if you were counting on a special ingredient or you were completely out of a neccessity, but it hasn't been a huge issue for us yet. They also don't take coupons, which makes sense.
All in all, I am VERY happy with Safeway's delivery services.
