Pros: Uses very little soap and water. Cleans great!
Cons: It's heavy and it can't dance.
The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend this washer because it works
so well on all different types of laundry.

I retired early and my wife still works so I do most of
the laundry. I've had a Maytag top loader for years and even though it was dependable, it did not seem to get our
clothes clean.You could forget washing anything large
(like a king size quilt)because it would not clean it at
all. I chose the Whirlpool because I wanted cleaner clothes.
This machine is excellent. It uses very little soap, very
little water, it's quiet and I have never seen clothes
so clean. Our whites now are white! It removed old stains
that had been in my work shirts for months. I'm using the
Wisk HE brand of detergent and it cleans great. I don't
care too much for the perfume in it, but you can run an
extra rinse cycle and the clothes come out smelling clean
and without the strong smell of perfume.
I have sensitive skin so I always ran my old washer with
an extra spin cycle anyway. The Whirlpool uses so little
water it costs very little more.
I washed an old cloth motorcycle jacket that had 3 years
of road grime on it. It was supposed to be "hand washed
only" but the washer got it looking like new!
I was about to throw it away it looked so dirty.
My wife was amazed!
If I wash a small or a large load the clothes do not come out twisted and I have never had any problems with the spin
cycle. The clothes come out so dry that my drying time has
been cut in half.
This machine is heavy and it needs to be on a solid
foundation. If you have weak floors, don't buy it.
The spin cycle will cause you problems if the machine
can move at all. My foundation is concrete.
Overall, this is, by far, the best washing machine I have
ever used in my life. You have to use HE detergent but
I don't care because the end results are so good. Our clothes have never been this clean before and our water and energy use is down. It actually makes washing fun!
It would be very hard to go back to a top loading washer
for me. I love everything about this machine!
