I ordered most of my blinds for my new house from AB&W the end of September. It's October 18 and I haven't received them all. Why? Because this company is the poorest run company I have ever ordered from and much of it has to do with total lack of communication.
How do most people purchase on-line or over-the-phone? By credit card of course. After my order was verified by a supervisor, my credit card number was then verified. Everything check out ok or so I thought until I received a POSTCARD a week later informing me that my credit card was declined...on a postcard to my house! Evidently the charge exceeded the allowable daily charge but that's not the way the postcard read. Shouldn't they be familiar with this situation and call the customer to let them know the charge didn't go through. They had my phone number, my e-mail but NO ONE called or e-mailed. When I talked to a supervisor, he said they called and e-mailed but realllly, I have caller ID and no e-mails were ever received, NOT EVEN THE CONFIRMATION THEY SAID THEY WOULD SEND ME after my order was placed. I verified that the phone number and e-mail addresses were correct.
This delayed my order by a week. Finally I received everything but a set of 4 blinds. No calls, no e-mails as to why the total shipment didn't arrive. Never received any tracking information as I do with most other companies I order from. I had to call them to find out what happened to the rest of my order. My guess is that they were never ordered because it will be 10 days to get my order. They gave me some story that they were on back order but when I checked a competitor, they confirmed the manufacturer was on schedule. They lied to me again saying that they tried to call. They also promised to call me about the status of this order. Haven't heard anything yet.
So the order that was to be delivered by October 13 will arrive hopefully the end of October. Won't know if there is anything wrong with blinds until the installer arrives to put them up since they are all bound up with the cords. Will I order the rest of the blinds for my house from them....verrrrry doubtful.
