The Bottom Line Over all, I've never had trouble with FedEx. I can't say that for UPS. The people at FedEx have been nice. I can't say the people at UPS have been.
Since I first wrote this opinion, I've had more experience with shipping and with writing epinions.
Here's a new list of reasons I use FedEx, not UPS.
1) Quickest reaction ever to my calling for a pickup:
UPS - Next day any where between 9 and 6
FedEx - 5 to 30 minutes
2) Tracking:
UPS - While attempting to track a package that was almost a week late,
the UPS system refused to acknowledge my tracking number.
FedEx - Worked every time, I have always known where my package is.
3) Customer Support:
UPS - The people on the phone refused to admit that maybe they had a
problem. Even though they couldn't find the package it was some
how my fault.
FedEx - They helped me, saved me money, and were very nice.
4) Price: for a 5 pound package sent from my house to my parents 2nd day:
UPS - $18.63
FedEx - $18.08
Not a big difference, but still better.
Over all, I've never had trouble with FedEx. I can't say that for UPS. The people at FedEx have been nice. I can't say the people at UPS have been.
If you need to get something out NOW, and want it handled by nice people, I highly recommend FedEx!
