I decided on Voicestream after deciding I needed to get a phone again in case something happened to me or my son. I had a Airtouch phone when I first turned 18 and my first phone bill was $600!! That made me decide I truly never wanted a phone again!! But now here I am, a single mom, with a not so relable car... so I decided to try the cell phone thing one more time.
I was walking thru the mall and there was a Voicestream Wireless shop. I stopped in and looked around. I really liked the Nokia 5190's and didn't want to spend a lot of money on a phone so that's the one I decided on. They ran a credit check which took about 2 min, then I was approved.
After all that was done, I went around the mall looking at faceplates and bought a few to be different from everyone elses phone.
Now I live in the "Boonies" about 35 miles south of Portland and usually my pager doens't even work out here (it's thru Verizon), so I plugged it in, and let it charge over night. I noticed there was 3 bars out of 4 in my apartment. That was a good sign.
I get very clear coverage all over. I have yet so lose coverage and I drive the backroads all the time with my phone.
My plan that I got was the $39.99 a month for 600 anytime minunets and 1000 weekend min. I find that very reasonable and affordable. I use my phone all the time and have never gone over the 600 anytime min. and for the 1000 weekend ones... I dont know anyone that can use that many min in a month for the weekends! :)
There customer service is great. Everytime I've called them it has been quick and easy. No problems there.
All in all, I would stay with Voicestream for a long time as they have never failed me.
