I had never heard of the Gold Spike either despite passing by it a million times.

Family reunions can be fun. This one was a hard one because it was the first one since my aunt passing away. With the addition of my dad's passing it makes my other aunt the last of her generation. But we spent lots of time with her and probably talked more than we ever have.

any of the hotels in Vegas that you have written about, I am glad that you thought you got your money's worth. Aren't family reunions the best?

We are not big gamblers (except when it comes to lodging!) Put in a few nickels here and and a few there.

Pretty good deal. Glad you were able to get something for a decent price and feeling like it was a positive experience.

So did ya gamble, besides on the room? :)
Nice job!
