Pros: easy to use drawstring bags, 3-ply plastic makes them durable, not just for trash
Cons: if you don’t like a white bag, then these aren’t for you
The Bottom Line: I can stuff a Glad Drawstring Bag with all the Bottom Lines I’ve written ... and the bag won’t break.

| dlstewart's Full Review: Glad Drawstring Bags |
I have been using Glad Drawstring Bags for years and years. I wouldnt have used them for so long if they didnt work well. Let me tell you why I like them.
Description
These Tall Kitchen bags have a 13 gallon capacity and measure 2 ft. x 2 ft. 3 3/8". The bags are white with a red drawstring at the top. The drawstring is concealed between a casing of white plastic.
On opposite sides of the bag, there are two half-circles cut from the edge of the bag where the red drawstring is grasped to pull the bag top closed. The bags are constructed from 3-ply plastic (.90 ml), which makes them strong, too.
My Experiences
These Glad Drawstring Bags fit perfectly in my kitchen garbage can. The can is tall and plastic, rectangular with a plastic lid.
It is simple to pull the bag free from its box and to shake it open. I fold the drawstring portion of the bag over the can rim. When the can lid is closed, it fits perfectly over the top of the can as if the bag was not there.
The objects thrown into this can are items that I cannot recycle. All types of garbage are tossed into the bag-lined can. Egg shells, tea bags, left-over food that cant be reused, packaging that cant be recycled.
When the bag is filled, it is easy to pull out of the can. I grasp the two red drawstrings and pull the bag top closed. Then I lift the bag from the can. With the drawstrings are pulled tight, the bags contents dont spill. The drawstrings are easy to tie into a knot or bow. The drawstrings have never broken.
I dont put liquid contents in the bag. However, some items are not completely dry such as meat wrappings. I have never had anything leak out of the bag. And these bags are sturdy. They dont easily rip.
These bags arent just for trash, either. I have used them to store items to protect them from dust. They also make a nice waterproof way for me to carry quilts to my quilt guild for show & tell during stormy weather.
Purchasing
My local grocery store sells these bags in a 45-count box for $6.99. I prefer to buy the 150-count package at my local wholesale club for about $15.00. This larger box has a pop-up handle for easy carrying. There are also three pull-strip openings along the front of the box that can be opened as the bag level decreases, making it easier to pull the bags free. If these bags are not available in your area, drugstore.com offers them in a 35-count pack for $4.19.
Summary
Glad Drawstring Bags have proven more than reliable over the years. I plan to keep buying them for a long time to come. They arent just for trash either. This is a versatile, strong, dependable bag for many uses.
I hope you found this review useful.
