Pros: Their website once again offers e-mail customer service. Use it if you can.
Cons: A fast reader could finish War and Peace holding on for phone service.

I am a sprint rep (Reply to this comment)

I work in sprint customer xervis, here are some yips to get you through your sprint experience. NEVER go to a sprint store for any sort of customer service, they are not corporate store, they are privately owned and they WILL NOT help you (I'm sorry to say) unless you are there to buy something. call 1 877 349 4419 it has the shortest hold time and no automated system. we have a mandatory call flow that we have to go thru, so when you call state the reason you are calling before you give the phone number. be as polite as possible and explain your situation as best possibl, if you call in yelling and mad about your problem no one is going to want to help you they will only want to get you off the phone. do not ask for a supervisor a the begining of the call because the supervisor has no more power than the rep you are talking to, we all have the same restrictions in our system, if the rep you ar talking to can't help you they will contact their supervisor and get help, once again be nice and explain whats going on and the rep will be more willing to help you because we dont mind talking to someone that is nice, but we don't want to talk to someone who is angry and yelling. if you are nice we will want to solve your problem because you're a nice person and we feel sorry that you are having a problem. there are alot of reps who won't deal with your problen no matter how nice you are and they will just transfer you or give you a solution that's not what you need, these people are frustrating but i'm sorry to say, they are there. if you have a major problem that nobody can fix or won't give you the tim of day you can try to get a hold of me, call *2 or 1 877 211 4727 or the nuber i first gave you, when you get a rep ask them if they are in site V44 if not ask them to transfer you back into que and keep asking untill you get someone as V44 once you do get them to transfer you to 235649 if they say it didn't work then tell them to press flash, when they get a dialtone enter 235649 when it rings press flash again and they can disconect while you wait for it to connect to me if they get a siren then i am not working that day.

I've been with Sprint for 3 years, and understand those customer services woes. I think the biggest woe came when I applied for a job there (as a customer service representive) and was turned down (with a steady job record and years of experience). It makes me wonder just who they're hiring...

You can change your plan in the middle of a contract. It will just restart your year on the day you changed it.

I've done this many times!

I know your woe... (Reply to this comment)

I used to work for SPCS - a receptionist, so I got all those frustrated, aggravated, exhausted and PO'ed customers who hoped in vain the number they were calling was a better Customer Service hotline. I had the unfortunate task of telling them it wasn't.

Although, I do remember telling folks to call at weird hours and they'd get through better - but I well-understand and remember the heartache of many customers. I tried to give folks all the tricks for whatever they were asking for... :)

Don't ask me if I miss my job, though. LOL

Great Points in your review (Reply to this comment)

Frazz-

Enjoyed the review. Many of the reasons you cited were cited by a friend within a couple of months of his going with Sprint PCS. He warned me to go elsewhere when I was ready to change.

I now have Cingular and Verizon. In a couple of weeks both of our phones will be on Verizon on a share plan. Getting it set up was easy and the salesperson who used to work in customer complaints was very helpful. She even provided some follow-up help when a couple features were not working correctly.

Keep up the great reviews!

Increasing technology often . . . (Reply to this comment)

. . . leads to a reduction in staffing. That move is NOT always orchestrated carefully.

Great posting.
