Dvd Avenue is not a good option for online movie rentals

I decided to try Dvd Avenue because they offered a free two week trial of their on-line movie rental service. It was easy to sign up and it was easy to pick the movies I wanted them to send to me. They suggested I pick out at least twenty movies I would like to see, so I did this. I had about a half dozen movies I really wanted to see the most. These were listed in the movies I wanted to see first.
Dvd Avenue did not send me any of the movies I preferred to see. Instead, they sent me (as their choice) what movies I would see and when I would see them. This was obnoxious in my opinion and not at all what I was used to from Netflix and Blockbuster. It seems to me Dvd Avenue must not have enough of the newly released movies, so they send you the older and easier to get new releases. This was not the worst of it.
I live in Florida and Dvd is in another state. Netflix and Blockbuster have outlets in this state and they both can get me my movies (my preferred movies) the next day. It took me about four days to get my first movies from Dvd Avenue. In my two week trial, I was able to rent a total of four movies. Through blockbuster and Netflix, I averaged about eight or ten. The cost of Dvd Avenue is 19.95 a month for three movies out at a time. This means I could probably rent about eight movies in a one month time period. These are not brand new releases. Another video store around here has a deal where I can rent as many (not new new releases) for ten dollars a month. Therefore this is not a good deal for me and I canceled it after the two weeks.
As far as the sight- Dvd Avenue has a fast and colorful sight. It is easy to find the movies you want, when you find them, you click on them, and they go into your que. The que is the place where you organize the movies you want to see. Sad thing is you don't receive the movies you want to see the most. Dvd Avenue defeats the purpose of spending twenty dollars a month for their service. Their service is second hand and we no longer live in a second hand society. We want what we want and we want it when we want it. If you cannot do this for me, I cancel your service.
Most important thing when you sign up for these free on-line movie rental services. Make sure you can cancel your account on their website. Dvd Avenue has this option and it is a very important option. It is so much easier and better to be able to click on a button and cancel your account than to have to talk to a salesman. This is the most important part of customer service for all of these on-line movie rental companies.
If you want the movies you want when you want them, do not choose Dvd Avenue. They are the horse and buggy of on-line movie rentals. If you want fast and convenient service, you must stick with the big boys. Blockbuster and Netflix are the best. I'm sorry to say it, but these guys don't come close.
