I bought a couch and chair. They were the classic style model. The ordering was easy , customer service was great and it was easy to assemble. When ordering I told the company this was for a child's play room. I thought it would be good since the covers remove. The premise behind this furniture is, the company, home reserve manufacturers a "kit" and some assembly is required but the pluses are you can choose any color slip cover and the shipping is very cheap because it can be mailed in smaller boxes. The company has styles that look very similiar to large furniture stores. The couch does assemble easy and looks attractive but the couch is basically a wood frame with fabric over the wood and no padding like a couch. There are cushions but if a cushion moves you are sitting/leaning back on wood. A short time after getting the couch my 1 year old toddler (a beginner walker) kept hitting the bottom of the couch. The bottom of the couch is JUST WOOD and a piece of fabric with no padding. I contacted the company and they sent some extra padding asap , it helped my toddler but made the couch look less attractive so we didn't use the couch very much. A week ago my now 2 year old jumped on the couch (there is a picture on the homereserve website of people jumping on the couch) , one of the cushion moved and behind the cushions again is just would. My child was hurt and badly enough to be in the hospital. I contacted home reserve for 4 days with no response. I tried posting a comment in their guestbook but they would not approve posting it(even though I feel it was pleasant and just wanted to warn famlies, they also claim that they will post all negative comment obviously a lie) This furniture would be fine for a dorm room but please be careful if you have kids. The couch is just wood and fabric, it looks nice but is not safe for kids!!
