Hi,
Nice review. One thing I think you need to clarify in your review about the grinder is whether you can adjust the courseness of the grind since some people like to adjust the grind of the beans. The picture did not come through when I brought up your review, but that could be my laptop and not the actual review itself. So I couldn't really see what the coffee maker/grinder looked like.
Also, Is there an auto turnoff for the warming plate?
In the past I have been somewhat disappointed with Cuisinart products as they have been overpriced and haven't performed well.
You mentioned that you were disappointed with glass carafe rather than a thermal carafe. The experience I have had with thermal carafes was that the coffee maker didn't brew the coffee at a hot enough temperature and since I had a thermal carafe, the coffee maker didn't have a warming plate. Therefore the coffee was never hot enough.
I have a Braun coffee maker that I have been using for several years (I wrote a review of it some time ago). It still makes a better pot of coffee than I've had from almost every other coffee maker I've owned.
